The link, or the project behind it, has used up its sessions or budget for now. Let the person who invited you know.

Headset and browser

Open the link in your headset’s own browser, such as Meta Quest Browser, rather than on your phone or computer. At launch, sessions run in the headset browser with WebXR. Native apps for Meta Quest and SteamVR are coming soon.
Check that both controllers are on and tracking in your headset’s home screen, then return to the browser tab and press Enter VR again.

During a session

Starting a world can take a little while, and the page shows its progress. If it’s still not ready after five minutes, it stops trying, and you can join again.
Control pauses when tracking is lost, the connection hiccups or the view falls behind. Check that your controllers are in view, then squeeze a grip to take control again.
Reopen the same link in the same browser. Within about a minute, you’ll rejoin the same world. After that, the world shuts down, and your attempt is kept up to the point you left.
Your attempt is still uploading. Stay in the session until you see Saved. Leaving early can lose the end of the attempt.
The task’s own time limit or success check ended it. Every attempt is still saved, successful or not.
The robot runs in the cloud, so a weaker Wi-Fi signal makes it lag. Move closer to your router, keep other downloads paused, and move slowly.

Team play

Their robot holds still. If they reopen the same link within about a minute, they take it back and the mission carries on. If a required seat stays empty longer than that, the run ends as interrupted, and everything recorded so far is kept.
Open the menu and check that voice chat is on and nobody is muted. Voice uses your headset’s microphone permission in the browser, so allow it when you’re asked.
Every required seat needs a pilot who has pressed Ready. Optional seats can stay empty. Check the lobby for a seat that’s taken but not ready.
Seats go to whoever takes them first. Pick another open seat, or agree on seats with your team before you join.

Comfort and safety

  • Clear your space and set up your headset’s boundary before you join. You’ll reach around a lot.
  • Stay aware of the real room. The robot’s world isn’t your room. Don’t lean on or walk into anything you can see only in VR.
  • Take breaks every 20 to 30 minutes, and stop straight away if you feel sick, dizzy or tired.
  • Sit down if you prefer. You can pilot seated, and move around with the sticks.
  • Don’t pilot while doing something else that needs your attention.
